CTC Hires New Vice President of Sales: January 9, 2006

Springfield, Va. -- January 9, 2006 -- Cornet Technology Communications (CTC), the network communications solutions division of Cornet Technology, Inc., has hired Patrick J. Troy as vice president of sales. Troy comes to CTC with more than twenty years of experience in sales and business development and a strong track record for increasing revenue and market share.

Troy's previous work experience includes positions with Xyratex International, Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, Exodus Communications, Inc. and Sun Microsystems, Inc.

At Xyratex, a provider of storage and network technology, Troy was Senior Director for Americas Sales where, in a year and a half interval, he grew annual revenue by 35 percent. With Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, he was national director of Sun Partner Development, where he wrote and implemented a Sun channel development strategy and plan that resulted in a revenue increase of 150 percent.

At Exodus Communications, Inc., an Internet Service Provider, Troy, in his position as senior director of U.S. and EMEA Sales, developed a best-of-class sales organization that was able to close Fortune 500 companies to achieve 150 percent of revenue targets within his first year.

In his five years at Sun Microsystems, Inc., Troy moved from sales team leader to Western Area Director of Product Sales, where he was tasked with building an entire sales organization. This organization achieved 115 percent of its sales goal and grew annual revenue by 40 percent year after year during his tenure.
