MTXL - High Speed Matrix Switch

For wide area and cable management applications requiring port configurations up to 1024, the MTXL matrix switch is the ideal solution. This fourth generation crosspoint switch is designed to switch T1/E1, ISDN, and most standard user interfaces. The MTXL's modular design allows multiple interfaces to be intermixed within a single chassis eliminating the need for external port banks. By connecting high-speed data interfaces directly on the rear of the matrix chassis, the MTX greatly reduces the footprint required for installation. Enhancements to the switch make it appropriate for modern networks. Enhancements like fiber extension which allows client equipment to be separated by as much as 100 kilometers while still providing full test and monitor functionality. Full engine redundancy allows one engine to back up the other regardless of location. Hardware setup and control is fully managed through CTI's management software, CorScan, which provides an SNMP-proxy agent for easy integration into existing SNMP network management systems.

MTX-256/256A
Matrix Switch

The MTX-256, with its compact switch engine, requires only one standard equipment rack to support 2048 ports and two racks for a 4096-port system. Like other MTX switches, the MTX-256 is based on a single-stage, non-blocked crosspoint architecture. It is designed to switch virtually all the available interfaces required for today's network environments from low-speed VF to high-speed digital and video applications.

MTX-1
Matrix Switch

The MTX-1 is 16-port high-speed, non-blocking, digital matrix switch that packs the same functionality of larger MTX series systems into a compact, space saving chassis. For higher port switch requirements, two MTX-1 chassis can be chained together with fiber to create a 32-port non-blocked switch.  The MTX-1’s single stage crosspoint switching is an efficient means of connecting any input to any output thus increasing reliability, speed, and ease of use. A non-blocking architecture ensures that switching is without restriction to similar interfaces.

MTX-2
Matrix Switch

Only 7" high this compact, 32-port, multi functional non-blocking crosspoint switch is ideal for space restricted applications. The MTX-2 single stage cross point architecture is an efficient means of connecting any input to any output with a minimum of components.

Port Concentrator Units (PCU)

CTC's port concentrator units do more than cable management. These flexible units can be utilized to perform link extension allowing WAN lines to be extended from one end of a campus to another. The PCU2 offers redundant power supplies as well as optional dual controller cards with independent fiber connections. This allows each path to be run differently providing an extra level of protection.

MACX
Multiplexer
Digital Cross Connect

CTC's MACX performs multiplexing and Digital Cross Connect Systems (DACS) switching as well as provides enhanced channel bank capabilities. This innovative device converts any type of WAN interface to a DSO/DS1 channel, incorporates the channel into a standard T1 frame and sends it to the T1 network. The MACX combines data from multiple (up to 64) separate inputs into one or more T1/E1 outposts and handles data rates from 56/64 Kbps to a full T1 in N by 56 or 64 K increments. Data returning on the same T1/E1 channel is routed back to the proper user I/O automatically. The MACX chassis supports up to 16 T1/E1 output ports and features dual-redundant power supplies.
